As the academic year draws to a close, The Farnley Academy would like to thank the overwhelming majority of students who have consistently demonstrated our core values of Kindness, Ambition and Resilience throughout the year.

Students have represented the academy with pride both in lessons and around the wider school community. Their positive attitudes, commitment to learning and support for one another have helped create a calm, respectful and purposeful environment in which everyone can succeed.

I would like to personally thank our students for the excellent standards they have shown this year. The vast majority of our young people come to school every day ready to learn, treating others with kindness, showing ambition in their studies and demonstrating resilience when faced with challenges. We are extremely proud of how they represent The Farnley Academy.

As preparations begin for September, the academy has written to all families outlining its Uniform and Equipment Expectations for September 2026. These expectations help maintain high standards and ensure that every student is fully prepared to learn from the first day of term.

A strong sense of pride, belonging and shared identity is fostered when students arrive on time, dressed smartly in the correct uniform and equipped with the resources they need for learning. Families are encouraged to review the guidance carefully over the summer holidays and ensure that all uniform and equipment requirements are met before the start of the new academic year.

The academy would like to thank parents and carers for their continued support in upholding these standards and helping students achieve their best.

Further guidance, including photographs of acceptable uniform items, can be found on the academy website:

We wish all students, families and staff a safe, enjoyable and well-deserved summer break and look forward to welcoming everyone back in September.
