100% Attendance Club Launch

Last week Ms Bradford (Assistant Principal) and Ms Hunter (Attendance Leader) launched The Farnley Academy’s 100% Attendance Club. Being in school every for the entire year is a fantastic achievement that we feel should be rewarded and so we pulled out all the stops to make it a day to remember for our students.

Following the launch assembly on Wednesday last week, on Thursday lunchtime 150 students were seated on the embankment at the edge of the playing fields where they watched a helicopter land on our school field!  Five names were then drawn from a hat and these students were given the opportunity to take to the skies for a flight over the surrounding area with Pilot Scott.  Mr Milner (On Call Manager) was also nominated to go up in the air with our students.
All our 100% students were treated to their very own BBQ lunch, finished off with a delicious ice cream to cool them down. But the fun did not end there – students enjoyed the rest of their afternoon on a giant inflatable assault course, slide and bouncy castle as well as many students taking the opportunity to for an impromptu game of football!
In addition, all students with attendance of 96% up to 99.9% were treated to a BBQ with Chef Hayes on Friday lunchtime.
We are absolutely certain that our 100% Attendance Club will grow in the new academic year so that more students can enjoy the recognition and rewards that come with having outstanding attendance.
