In order to ensure that students have more relaxing and enjoyable break periods during the academy day we have invested significantly over the summer in the new dining facilities. Our seating capacity has moved from 150 in the lower dining area to 450, with new benches that allow up to 8 students at each table.
The menu has also seen significant improvement, whilst keeping the old favourites Taylor Shaw, our contracted provider, have introduced new exciting meals and hot takeaway bites. All daily menus can also be found on the academy website under “Healthy New Menus for September with Taylor Shaw Catering”.
The waiting time for food has also significantly reduced, in particular for those in the 100% attendance club who have their own smaller queue!
Both students and teachers are incredibly positive about the changes.
Miss Langley stated, “not only does that new dining facility look great but students have the opportunity to stay inside if they wish for the duration of lunch and socialise, it is really great”.
