This has been a busy year so far for our Duke of Edinburgh team. Yesterday we were thrilled to welcome 60 families to our Engage evening, where they learned about the benefits of completing the Award, and how they can support their young people who have chosen to enrol for their Bronze Award. We have enrolled 125 year 9 pupils, which is our largest ever cohort. We are really looking forward to seeing how they choose to get involved as they complete their skill, physical and volunteering sections over the next few months.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award is known for its expeditions. Before half term, 40 year 10 students successfully completed their bronze expedition, walking from Bolton Abbey to Menston over two days. We will shortly be starting to plan the spring and summer expeditions for the rest of year 10, and for our new year 9 recruits.
