The Farnley Academy has raised £939 for charity following a recent non-uniform day. The Student Leadership Team decided that the wider student body should contribute to deciding which charitable organisation this donation will go to. They arranged a democratic vote which included all students in Years 7-10 alllowing each individual to vote for the charity that they wanted the donation to go to. We are very happy to announce that the students decided with an overwhelming majority that the donation of £939 will go to Candlelighters, a charity which supports children with cancer and their families. Thank you and well done to all students involved.
