On Friday 10th May Ms Owen took students from TFA to a Poetry Slam final against four other schools at The Carriageworks Theatre. Year 10 students Leah, Daisy and Kayleigh bravely went up against rival teams in a solo and paired performance of their poems “Perfection is an Obsession” and “Brothers”. Teams from Cardinal Heenan, Allerton High, Allerton Grange and Crawshaw Academy fielded very strong teams with some fantastic performances! Leah’s solo performance was highly commended by the judges. The students’ confidence was really tested and they came out victorious, making friends along the way.
Congratulations – we are very proud!
