On Monday 11 November, the The Farnley Academy held ‘An Exhibition to Remember’. The exhibition was curated by the Creative Design department, based around a theme of ‘Remembrance’, and showcased the very best of creative talent across Years 7 to 11. The range and quality of entries was exceptional, with creative writing, poetry, art, design and sculpture being the focus of students’ work. There were over 400 initial entries submitted, with these entries being whittled down to 102 submissions which were selected to feature in the final exhibition.

On the evening, students, staff and visitors had the opportunity to vote for the favourite entries. Over 400 votes were cast on the evening, and winning entries received certificates, trophies and house tokens to reward their efforts. The evening was a wonderful tribute to remembrance on Remembrance Day, and we are incredibly proud of our students and the hard work that went into every submission.
