This week, our year 9 students had the opportunity to be surgeons for the day! Operating Theatre Live made their annual visit to the academy to immerse students from The Farnley Academy and The Morley Academy in the world of medicine and anatomy. The day included ‘full-body’ dissections and a good deal of dressing up. Asides from the blood a guts, feedback from the students was highly positive. Certainly not for the squeamish! Hopefully we have inspired some aspiring doctors, nurses and paramedics!
