Despite the challenging world we now find ourselves in, the House system at the Farnley Academy has never been more important. It provides the opportunity for our young people to unite as a house and take part in some friendly competition. This week we hosted our first pop-up house competition: Limbo Challenge! Students and staff got involved and it was Asquith that came out on top. We have also had a Roald Dahl quiz competition and we are looking forward to hosting our History and Geography competitions later this term. In addition, we have a kindness bingo coming up too. We love to reward our students for demonstrating our core values.
In other exciting news, we are on the verge of appointing new house captains for this year. This will allow students to shape the direction that our house system moves this year and equip eight fantastic students with chance to improve their leadership and organisational skills.
