On Tuesday 29th September we were lucky enough to be joined by Sian Gabbidon, winner of The Apprentice (Season 14) and owner of fashion brand SianMarie.
Sian presented to our Year 10 Business Studies students where she shared an engaging session about her journey through education, building her business and her future plans with Lord Sugar.
Following this, students engaged in a Q&A session with lots of insightful questions, all which will help them complete their Business Studies coursework.
Sian gave lots of details of her story such as her career goals, education pathways, competing on The Apprentice and finally her pathway to the successful win which led her to become Lord Sugar’s business partner with him investing £250,000 in her company SianMarie.
Sian is a great example of a successful local entrepreneur who has demonstrated resilience when she started her business from scratch, ambition when managing through the COVID pandemic along with kindness as she sells ethical products.
Following detailed feedback from students, it is clear they thoroughly enjoyed this presentation, found it insightful and it has even inspired them to look at their own career paths, aspirations, and education options post 16.
