Over the past two weeks, our Student Leadership Team have had some fantastic meetings with Mr Stokes, where they have been putting forward their ideas and questions to him regarding the school and wider community.
Despite COVID restrictions meaning that the whole team could not meet together, Mr Stokes took the time out to meet all the Student Leaders within each of their year group bubbles. This led to some wonderful discussions, where all students had an opportunity to have their voice heard and present some amazing ideas.
We are very lucky to have such an incredibly passionate group of leaders who want to work together to create some fantastic initiatives for our school. What is an even greater testament to the team is that many of them took the time out before the meeting to prepare and research, so they were well prepared for their meeting. Many also spent their own time asking fellow students if there were any ideas, they had so they could pass it on during their meetings. This included coming with statistics from student voice that they had conducted.
Mr Stokes is eager to ensure that students voices are heard. Mr Harding will be working with Mr Stokes and Miss Pickering to implement the agreed changes over the coming weeks. Well done to all our Student Leaders who have been amazing in their roles so far, we look forward to seeing the students’ ideas come to fruition in the very near future.
