In a few weeks, our year 10 students will be completing their end of year assessments. The purpose of these assessments is to allow us to inform our next steps of teaching to help our students achieve examination success.
In order to prepare for this, a range of subjects are hosting some additional revision sessions; Team English are proud to be hosting this too!
In order to prepare students adequately, our English revision sessions will run W/C 14.06.2021 and W/C 21.06.2021. They will take place on a Tuesday after school – students can attend if they wish to boost their grades and take part in some engaging and well planned sessions.
The sessions will be split into one English Language session and one English Literature session. In Language, the focus will be on ensuring that students understand the examination rubric – this entails learning the question types and how to approach them. Literature will be more content based; this is to help boost student’s knowledge of their key text to facilitate a good understanding for their examination.
Please encourage your child to attend – Mr Washington, Miss Rockliffe-Wallace, Miss Stoba and Miss Hart will all be running sessions for students.
