As some restrictions in schools due to COVID-19 have been lifted we able to make some changes to our school day and procedures for example students can now arrive via any entrance and we have removed staggered start and finishing times.
As an academy we are wholeheartedly committed to the safety and well-being of our students. In order to reduce crowds on a morning as students enter we have introduced pre-form from 8.15am; students can arrive between 8.15 -8.30 am and for straight to their form room where they can read or complete work. We are pleased to be able to continue to offer our free breakfast club; students can collect a free bagel to eat in their form room.
We are still ensuring all students wash their hands throughly upon their entrance to school using our hand washing stations and we have installed wall mounted hand sanitiser units around school which students are encourage to use regularly. Our cleaning team are doing a fantastic job at making sure all our frequently touched surfaces are cleaned throughout the day with their increased cleaning regimes and classrooms and communal areas will continue to be well ventilated to all, for the flow of fresh air.
Before the return to school all students were invited to come for two COVID-19 Lateral Flow tests (3-5 days apart) in our Asymptotic Testing Centre (ATC) to help minimise the spread of COVID-19 on our return to school. We would like to say a big thank you to all the students who attended and also our team of staff who volunteered to help in the testing centre.
