This has been a great term for the DofE team! This year, we have had 116 year 9 pupils enrol onto the Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award! These students have now registered their eDofE accounts and are uploading evidence for their skills, volunteering and physical sections. Well done to these students who have got off to an amazing start!

We have seen a further 51 Year 10 pupils continue to complete and evidence their skill, physical and volunteering sections. These students have been completing some outstanding activities, including volunteering to help pack food hampers for a local charity, helping younger students with their homework, coaching football at a club and litter picking within the local community.

For the skills section students have been improving their baking and cooking skills, enhancing photography skills, learning to play an instrument, and learning a new language. Students have also been participating in a physical activity for one hour a week including: rugby, volleyball, martial arts, netball, table tennis and much more! Well done Year 10’s!

We are not yet sure what the expedition will look like due to government guidelines, but we have an exciting programme of activities planned which will allow the students to build skills and independence, and will see them achieve their full Bronze awards!

Our year 9 cohort are making fantastic inroads into their awards. They have all now had their activity plans approved and are very busy completing their sections and gathering evidence to upload onto their eDofE profiles. We have really enjoyed seeing their evidence start to come in, and are looking forward to signing off their sections in the coming months.
