31 of our Y10 students took part in a CSI workshop with Graham from Zakon where they were presented with a case study and had to explore a crime scene, forensic evidence and witness statements to find their prime suspect.

The group used their findings to try their case in court with students taking on roles as the defendant, the key witness, barristers for the defence and prosecution, the judge, and the jury with a foreman. With the jury disagreeing but the majority feeling the case had not been proven beyond a reasonable doubt, they found the defendant NOT GUILTY!

This case was loosely based on a real-life crime and Graham was excellent in engaging with students throughout the day and referencing numerous cases he had worked on during his time in the police, offering real life experience. Students thoroughly enjoyed their day and their behaviour was exceptional. Graham compared their level of knowledge, interest and engagement to some Year 12 workshops he had completed in the past. Well done!!
