Rewarding students within lessons is incredibly important. Our positive discipline system relies on frequent and consistent recognition of student’s effort, hardworking and engagement within lessons.
By rewarding our students, we make them feel valued and place value in their work.
The issuing of the PD stamps is proportionate and will be reflective of the work and effort that the students produce. Stamps are given for excellent contributions, engagement, focus, effort or work in line with the Positive Discipline Stamp Policy. Students receive on average 3 stamps per lesson, equalling a credit.
When awarding stamps, staff will always verbalise to the student why they have received stamps. By doing this staff reinforce their expectations, celebrate individual student success, create a positive learning environment and continue to build positive relationships.
