As the year comes to an end, I would like to celebrate the fact that our ECT1 cohort are now half way through their journey of becoming fully qualified!

The following teachers really enjoyed their recent ECT1 Celebrating Event, joining other ECTs across the Trust to recognise their achievements this year:

Miss Lodge and Miss McDowall (English). Miss Elam, Miss Arnott, Miss Rhodes and Miss Connon (Maths). Miss Shaw and (Science). Miss Garland Jones and Mr Lanser (Geograpy). Miss Lacey (ICT). Mr Hallas and Mr Mckendray (PE). Miss Holdsworth and Miss Wood (History). Mr Blanchard, Miss Anyon and Miss Hoyland (Art/Technology). Mrs Johnston and Mrs Murray (EPR).

The first year for an ECT is always a the most challenging one – but our cohort have absolutely succeeded in making the starts to their careers be so successful.

Having observed lessons all year, it is clear to see that they’re working hard to engage our students. It has been a delight to welcome them to our academy and I am looking forward to seeing how their teaching journey progresses into ECT2!
