It is a pleasure that I get to report to all our Year 7 families as we reach the end of the first half term of the academic year. I have been so impressed with how our Year 7 cohort have taken to life at The Farnley Academy. We are all aware of the challenges of getting to know a new environment and learning the language and expectations of PD that are central to life at the Farnley Academy. I am though delighted to report that the vast majority of the year group have handled this transition with maturity and enthusiasm. It has been a pleasure getting to know many of your children and seeing them embrace all that The Farnley Academy have to offer. Not only this but during the first weeks of their experience at our academy, we also had a visit from Ofsted. The Year 7 Cohort spoke professionally and really positively about their experience at The Farnley Academy. I was so proud that they were able to play a part of the academy re-gaining its Outstanding status.
I cannot wait to see what Half Term 2 has to offer. Keep up the great work everyone!
