Our Year 11 cohort are making superb progress over the course term 1. All measures are currently in front of last year’s cohort and attitudes in lessons reflect focus, resilience and determination.
The biggest factor that will determine their success in examinations will as always be attendance to school. We know that students with strong attendance make exceptional progress working alongside our expert teachers. Many other factors are also extremely important, homework completion, small and regular revision and hard work in school.
In term 2 we will be further supporting students by introducing compulsory revision that has been personalised for each student and weekend tutoring in small groups to ensure all are ready for the summer.
I have every belief that this cohort will achieve great things and I look forward to supporting them over the next few months.
Year 11 will be completing their second mock exam series in February.
