During half term 2 and 3, a range of students in key stage 3 have taken part in the 8-week ‘Resilience Project’, working directly with the School Wellbeing Team from Leeds City Council.
The sessions have covered a range of topics from the PSHE curriculum to support students with a range of challenges, such as; Managing emotions, signs of a healthy and unhealthy relationship and the importance of sleep.
Students have explored a range of strategies to support their understanding of these topics in their daily life. In addition, these sessions have really challenged our students to reflect on their own struggles, barriers and challenges – encouraging them to consider how to overcome these and how to seek support.
At TFA we love going above and beyond learning within the classroom and seek to use workshops and interactive learning where possible, to bring the PSHE and RSHE curriculum to life.
Well done, team resilience project, you have worked incredibly hard!
