We are very excited for students to be part of the Rewards Trip on Thurs 17 October. Comigrations to all the students who are eligible to attend this Positive Discipline Reward.

Students arrive at School at the below times:

  • Alton Towers – 7:20am
  • Chester Zoo – 8am
  • Cinema & Bowling – 8:15 to 8:30am
  • In School – 8:15 to 8:30am (Normal)

Please see below the itineraries for each Trip:

Alton Towers

Stage of Visit Brief Outline
Students arrival TFA 7.20am – 7.35am
Students arrive at the academy and will be registered on the QUAD and escorted to their coach.
Leaving TFA 7.45am – Buses leave TFA. Buses with coach numbers displayed will depart TFA from Hall Lane and make their way to Alton Towers Coach leads will be given a brief with a checklist of information to provide to all students before leaving and before disembarking at the theme park.
Arriving at venues 9.50am – approximately. We will arrive at Alton Towers. On arrival, take students to the allocated meeting point in front of the ‘Towers’. This will be the meeting point at the end of the day. Students remain on the coach until the tickets have been collected. They must remain seated while this is organised.
Once in the park, teachers are encouraged to circulate and cover certain areas – further information will follow on this.
Leaving the venues 4.00pm – Meet bus lead in front of the ‘Towers’.
4.30pm– Depart from Alton Towers.
You must return to allocated meeting points for re-registration ready for departure.
Students return to TFA 6.30pm – Buses arrive at TFA (approximately) . Students who do not have permission to make their own way home (highlighted on the register) must be escorted back to the academy until collected by parents.

Chester Zoo

Stage of Visit Brief Outline
Students arrival TFA 8.00am-8.20am – Students arrive at the academy and will be registered on the QUAD and escorted to their coach.
Leaving TFA 8.20am – Buses leave TFA. Buses with coach numbers displayed will depart TFA from Hall Lane and make their way to Chester Zoo. Coach leads will be given a brief with a checklist of information to provide to all students before leaving and before disembarking at the theme park.
Arriving at venues 10.20am – approximately. We will arrive at Chester Zoo.

Once in the zoo staff are to supervise groups of students throughout the day in groups of 15.
Leaving the venues 3.30pm – Meet bus lead in Picnic Area
4.00pm– Depart from Chester Zoo
You must return to allocated meeting points for re-registration ready for departure.
Students return to TFA 6.00pm – Buses arrive at TFA (approximately) . Students who do not have permission to make their own way home (highlighted on the register) must be escorted back to the academy until collected by parents.

Cinema & Bowling

Stage of Visit Brief Outline
Students arrival TFA 8.15am-8.30am – Students arrive at the academy and will be registered in the Auditorium.
Students arrival TFA 8.30am-9.15am – Students remain in the main hall completing activities with staff on Cinema and Bowling Trip.
Leaving TFA 9:30am – Buses leave TFA. Buses will depart TFA from Hall Lane and make their way to Kirkstall.
Arriving at venues 10.00am – We will arrive at Hollywood Bowl. On arrival, you will be escorted into the bowling complex and allocated a lane.
11.00am – You will be escorted next door to Vue Cinema to watch a film.
11.30am – Film begins.
Leaving the venues 1:30pm – Film finishes.
2.00pm – Depart from Kirkstall.
Students return to TFA 2.30pm – Buses arrive at TFA.

Please see below the dress code for the trips:

What to wear! What not to wear!
  • Sensible trousers, joggers or jeans.
  • T-shirt or long sleeved shirt.
  • Trainers or shoes which hold onto your feet. (You do not want to lose any on the rides).
  • Warm, waterproof coat.
  • Warm hoodie or top.
  • Small bag to carry your lunch and maybe a change of clothes if you get wet on the rides.
  • Shorts or skirts.
  • Vest tops or vests.
  • Flip flops or loose-fitting footwear.
  • Thin T-shirt or shirt.
  • Remember our non-uniform expectations as an academy i.e. no ripped jeans, crop tops, revealing tops etc.

Those students who are remaining in school must arrive between 8:15 and 8:30, They need to be in full uniform with all their school belongings/equipment.
