It has been great to see so many of young people engaging in this years Children’s Mental Health Week. The theme of this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week was ‘This is My Place’.

The aim of the week was to support the systems around children and young people to help them feel they belong.

Throughout the week students participated in an online assembly and completed several activities in form time linked to this year’s theme.

My personal highlight of the week was our “Come as Yourself” Day on Friday. We encouraged everyone to wear an outfit which made them feel most comfortable, confident, and like they truly belong —whether that was cosy clothes, cultural dress, favourite colours, football / rugby tops or something totally unique. The day allowed us to celebrate what makes you, you.

We also participated in a Bake Sale in School on Friday, staff all donated and / or baked cakes to see over break time. As a result, we made £199.60 for the charity Young Minds.

I hope everyone had a lovely term and is ready to take on the next half term head on.
