We have had so much fun with our students over the last term, with weekly pop-ups running for members of the 100% club as well as our new Monday Funday initiative. This is open to all students, who are eligible to take part in Monday Funday if they have been in school for the full week before. We asked all students for their feedback on what treats and rewards they value the most and where possible we have included these in the weekly rewards: non-uniform days, a donut breakfast, prize draws and lucky dips, gameshows in forms and a film event. A highlight was serving hot chocolate to over 1100 students over 3 hours! We finished the half term with a visit from the Easter Bunny, who enjoyed the sunshine on the last day and handed out chocolate eggs to all students at lunch time.

Moving into the summer term we have lots more fun planned, all gearing up to our Farnley Funday event, which is being held on Monday 20 July. Students have received a stamp card and must collect at least 60 stamps to gain full access to all parts of the event. All students in school on that day will be able to take part in some aspects of the day. We will have food stalls, live music, entertainment and games – we can’t wait!
