Last week, The Farnley Academy championed Anti-Bullying Week with all year groups receiving an assembly, which had a particular focus on cyberbullying. It was highlighted to the students that this term was first used in just 1994 and is a problem of the current generation. Therefore, this is also a problem that can potentially be solved by this generation! #changestartswithus

Facts and figures were shared with students being asked to consider the platforms they use for social media, how far this can reach and how many people this could influence either positively or negatively. We were really proud of the students maturity of response.
In support of Anti-Bullying Week and to show a united front against it, students were invited to wear odd socks for the day on Tuesday! There were some terrible combinations which everyone enjoyed!
