This year British Science week too place 8-17 March. It is an opportunity to try something new and celebrate science and its role in our daily lives. At TFA for science week we had a delivery of ‘Living Eggs’ for 2 weeks. During this time the eggs hatched and grew into fantastic little chicks, we had a camera set up to record their development and ensure all students could catch up with what was happening during the day. Students in Year 7 were lucky enough to have the chicks in their lesson to observe and hold whist completing a lesson on this year’s British Science week theme of time. Students studies the life cycle of a chick and its development in the egg. This was a great opportunity for students, and we wish we could have kept them in the Science Department.
