As we draw Half Term 1 to a close, I want to take a moment to personally thank all of our students for the fantastic way they have started the academic year. At The Farnley Academy, we hold ourselves to high standards — and I am incredibly proud to say that our students have consistently risen to meet them.

From calm and focused corridors to purposeful and respectful classrooms, our school culture has remained strong. This is no accident. It’s a result of every student choosing to do the right thing, every single day — arriving on time, wearing their uniform with pride, and showing kindness and respect to staff and peers alike.

Your commitment to our core expectations has not gone unnoticed. It is your behaviour and your attitude that create the climate for learning, and because of that, every student has contributed to making Farnley a safe, welcoming and high-achieving place to be.

But we’re not stopping here.

As we head into Half Term 2, I want to challenge all students to build on this excellent start by continuing to go above and beyond — especially when it comes to collecting stamps and earning praise. Every positive choice, every show of effort, every act of integrity deserves recognition, and we want to celebrate those moments with you.

Our goal is simple: more praise, more stamps, more success. Let’s work together to ensure that our rewards system reflects the hard work and commitment that so many of you demonstrate every day.

To every student who has met our expectations this term: thank you. Your efforts are making a real difference. Now, let’s take that even further.

Let’s make Half Term 2 even better.
