In the final week of half-term 4, we took 450 students to Flamingo Land as part of our attendance rewards calendar for this school year! Students in the 100% Attendance Club were automatically added to the list if they wished to attend, but 169 students also chose to use their Club Points to purchase a place, which is fantastic to see.
The park was quiet – we practically had the place to ourselves. From my vantage point in the central cafe, it was wonderful to see students running in and out, some drenched from water rides, many carrying oversized souvenirs, but most importantly – children having a good time on a trip they earned through their hard work.
We decided to run a trip to Flamingo Land as a direct result of student voice. Students said they wanted more trips as an attendance reward; we ensured we listened and the result was a fantastic day out. Well done, everyone!
