Dear Parents, Carers and Students,
As we approach the end of our first half term together, we are delighted to share some of the many positives that have marked the start of the academic year.
Our returning students have shown impressive focus and maturity, quickly re-establishing strong routines and setting the tone for an excellent year ahead. Equally, our new Year 7 students deserve particular praise. They have settled into secondary school life with confidence, enthusiasm, and resilience. It has been a pleasure to see them embrace new challenges and become part of our school community so quickly.
Attendance across the school has also been very encouraging. Many students are maintaining excellent records, and we thank families for their continued support in ensuring children are present and ready to learn each day. Good attendance is one of the most important factors in academic progress and personal development—every day really does make a difference. We ask all families to continue making punctual, regular attendance a top priority.
A special thank you goes to the parents and carers of our Year 10 students who attended our recent Welcome to Key Stage 4 event. Your support at this key stage of your child’s journey is invaluable, and it was fantastic to see so many of you engaging with the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead.
Looking forward, we are excited about our Positive Discipline Rewards Trip taking place on Thursday 17 October. This event celebrates students who have demonstrated excellent attendance, effort, and behaviour. Year 7 students are still eligible to take part, so we encourage them to continue giving their best each day in order to secure their place.
Finally, we would like to give a special mention to our wonderful staff body. Their dedication, care, and hard work underpin everything we achieve as a school. We are grateful for the way they support our children each day and for their commitment to the wider community we serve.
We are proud of the hard work and commitment shown across the school this half term. Thank you for your ongoing support, and we look forward to continuing this positive momentum into the second half of the term.
With best wishes
Mr Little
