This year has seen an amazing re-launch of the house system and the introduction of some exciting new schemes which aim to encourage and reward students over the course of the next academic year. Firstly, we have invested in 150,000 house tokens which will be available for students to earn for exceptional work in lessons and around school. Together with help from their house mates, both students and staff will work to fill the token collector in order to win a variety of prizes, ranging from in school treats to trips offsite.
Before the year began for students, new and returning staff had an opportunity to put their houses in the lead and earn some early house tokens which saw Moore return to their previous position as reigning champions. However, after three weeks students have shaken up the leaderboard through a range of thrilling and successful competitions. A particular highlight of the term so far has been ‘Lunch Limbo’ which saw a spectacular turn out from students in all year groups, as both enthusiastic participants and supportive spectators. After only three weeks, Bronte has propelled themselves into the lead but the competition remains close and with a packed half term planned ahead of us this is very much subject to change!
