On 4th November Rhianna (Year 9) and Adam Wrigley (Year 9) along with several other students from the Leeds area competed in the Local finals of the Springboard FutureChef national competition.
There challenge was to cook a two course meal for two people (hot main course and a hot or cold dessert) on a budget of up to £7. They were marked against a specific judging criteria and judged by college and industry chefs.
Rhianna was the winner in a very strong competition and will now progresses to stage 3 and receives an industry mentor and cookbook.
Adam received high praise from the industry chefs for his dedication and work ethics under pressure, and is looking forward to trying again next year.
