Parents and students were invited to an Engage evening at The Farnley Academy on Wednesday 13 February to experience what Modern Foreign Languages and Design Technology lessons are like for our students. It was wonderful to see so many parents attend and join in with the planned activities.
In Design Technology parents and students were practicing tie-dye, material printing and creating LED lanterns. Everyone was enjoying themselves and it was lovely to see our students working in partnership with their parents to create these products to take away with them.
In Modern Foreign Languages Miss.Coombes and Mr.Downes were putting students spoken French and German to the test through a series of competitive activities. Parents were certainly impressed with students’ understanding and ability to speak in the target language with confidence.
It was another fantastic evening for all and we look forward to welcoming parents to our next Engage evening later in the year.
