After lovely Easter break. our focus once again switches to a successful return to school. At The Farnley Academy we have welcomed back all students positively and pupils’ attitude and focus has been superb.
To ensure that this successful return back to school continues we wanted to set out a few key points and expectations for the term ahead.
- Ensure you have the correct equipment and uniform. Our standards are exceptionally high in this area for a very good reason. All students will be expected to meet our proud expectations.
- 100% focus in lessons, ensuring low level disruption in classroom does not occur and students follow the PD policy. PD is in place to ensure students receive praise for their fantastic attitude, engagement and participation in lessons, THIS IS WHAT WE DO BEST!
- Arrive to school and lessons on time. If students arrive after the second bell has started ringing, they will receive a negative comment. Having excellent punctuality ensures that students know our high expectations and allows no lesson time to be missed/wasted.
- Attend school every day, completing all classwork and homework set. This is imperative in ensuring that students do not fall behind and finish the school year in the best possible position, ensuring that when they leave the academy, they have the gift of choice.
Continuing to get these basics right allow us to really enjoy this half term. We have so many things to be excited about this term, as restrictions relax. This includes extra-curricular taking place again and our fantastic attendance rewards.
