We are so excited about welcoming students back to the academy. Mr Stokes and the full staff body have worked tirelessly to ensure everything is in place, to give all students the perfect transition back to The Farnley Academy.
Feelings about going back to school
All children might have different feelings about returning to school. Some might be anxious for a range of reasons, while others may be thrilled. Whatever they are feeling, they are not alone.
At The Farnley Academy the Pastoral teams are prepared and ready to talk to children about all the changes that are happening at the moment. Please ensure no matter how big or small children feel an issue is that they talk to the trained support teams in school. We will ensure all students are provide as much specific support as possible.
Making your return a success.
Students must check they have all their equipment and planner required and that this is packed in their school bag, the night before their return to school. Students must also ensure tneed to have complete PE kits for their PE lessons, as kit cannot be borrowed.
Students must be reminded of the support in place for them alongside reminding themselves of The Farnley Academy’s PD policy. This together will help our drive to support a child’s self-regulation and will allow all students to successfully transition back to ‘normal’ school life as soon as possible.
If you have any concerns or questions regarding The Farnley Academy’s PD expectations, please contact your Behaviour Manager prior to or on the day of your return. This will allow the team to support and resolve any equipment/uniform issues as quickly as possible.
