Armley Helping Hands is a wonderful charity supporting elderly and vulnerable adults in the area.
Farnley Academy students have been writing letters to elderly people who are on their own.
We have tried to make our letters as uplifting as possible to help brighten up the lives of people who may have been isolating March 2020.
Students have been writing about their hobbies, what they enjoy at school and what they are looking forward to most when the lockdown is over.
Our first batch of letters were delivered last week, and we can’t wait to get some replies back!
It’s not too late for students to take part. Any interested students need to let their form tutor know.
