We are extremely proud of our 2021-22 Year 11 cohort in achieving our strongest performance ever for GCSE results. Despite the obvious challenges around missed time in face to face education during their Key Stage 4 learning they did everything in their power to minimise the effect of this.
This year’s results saw a record number of top grades achieved by students, in particular at grade 9 in core subjects. In addition, the progress that students made in all areas was also in excess of any previous cohort.
Results day was a great occasion and we continue to celebrate after with a number of students changing grade due to exam re-marking.
I would like to publicly thank everyone that contributed to this performance from students, parents to teachers who worked a large number of weekends and during their holidays to tutor students to catch up on missed learning. We are extremely proud of our school community and know that strong outcomes for students make a real difference for their future.
Whilst students are now in Post-16 study or employment we will continue to help our young people if they are struggling
