As part of our work within the community, The Farnley Academy have designated a team of community champions!
One responsibility that comes with being a part of this team is going into the local community and participating in some litter picking, in order to foster a sense of community spirit and improve the surrounding environment.
Here are our first group of TFA Community Champions from Year 7, Georgia, Ben Roxanne, Emilia and Ava. Don’t they look fabulous in their high-vis vests!
These amazing students are giving up their own time and have volunteered to go on weekly litter pick in the local area. The litter pick will follow our normal community patrol route.
The current restrictions have put our plans on hold at the moment, but as soon as we can we’ll be cleaning up the streets of Farnley!
We also have some volunteers from other year groups so will be extending this as the year goes on.
