On the 10th and 11th May all Year 10 history students travelled back in time as they visited Temple Newsam as part of their GCSE site study. Students were given several tours of the different parts of the house, including the Tudor Wing, Picture Gallery and the servants’ domestic quarters. A number of students volunteered to demonstrate a timeline overview of Temple Newsam’s history. The trip helped bring history to life and prepare students for one of the History GCSE exams they will sit next year. As always our students were an absolute credit to the Academy on both days and the Temple Newsam staff all commented on the excellent behaviour, engagement and enthusiasm.
