Kon’nichiwa from Team Tokyo!

Things are really getting excited here at TFA as the Tokyo project continues to grow! We are delighted to have had so many video applications from students who would like to be considered for a free trip to Tokyo in 2021! All applications are currently being considered and we will inform students who successfully make it through to the interviews as soon as possible.

In addition, we are pleased to introduce our 3 newly appointed Tokyo Leaders! Mrs Cocksedge, Miss Gelder and Miss Firth join Ms Bradford in taking the overall lead of what is without doubt our most exciting and ambitious project ever!

Mrs Coksedge will primarily lead on the organisation and fundraising for the trip in summer 2021 to Tokyo. Miss Gelder will oversee the enrichment activities that will pop up all over the academy in the next 2 years. Miss Firth will be coordinating threading Japanese and Olympic themes topics through the curriculum and in to lessons.

Over the coming weeks themed activities and events will crop up around the site. We will also be looking for helpers at events and with fundraising to send our lucky 50 to Tokyo. There is plenty to do, so please let one of the Tokyo Leaders know if you would like to be involved.
