On Thursday 27 June our Year 10 GCSE Geography students attended a field trip to the Holderness coast. The first stop was to the seaside town of Hornsea where students worked collaboratively to collect primary data, in the beautiful sunshine. Their task was to investigate whether hard engineering is controlling long shore drift.

Before returning home, we headed north to Flamborough Head where students had the chance to cool off with an ice cream. In class, students have studied coastal landforms and Flamborough gave them the opportunity to witness a variety of these such as bays, headlands, caves and stacks.

We are very proud of how the Year 10 Geographers conducted themselves and it was a pleasure to see so many of them enjoying what was a very successful field trip.
