I am so proud of all our students on a daily basis, whether through interaction in lessons, conversations at lunch and break or after school. However, our Preforming Arts showcase events are exceptional; this year’s Christmas concert certainly did not disappoint.
Talent was demonstrated from all year groups and with ever-growing numbers of students selecting Music in Key Stage Four we saw many students making their debuts. For some students this will be their final Christmas performance and I am incredibly grateful for their contributions over 5 years, below you can see our African Drummers who were superb.
We were also given a preview of our Academy Production, Ghost. The acting, singing and dancing were absolute first rate and left the audience asking where to buy their tickets! From this snapshot it could certainly be our best yet, with Hope Senior and Grace Ashford showcasing exceptional abilities.
We also welcomed younger performers from both Ryecroft Primary Academy and Lawns Park Primary School. Both showed that we have talent waiting to join us in future years and Ryecroft gave a splendid performance of acting, singing and puppetry.
Thank you to all students and of course our diligent and hardworking Performing Arts Team who support the students superbly.
If you not manage to attend then I would highly recommend these events in the coming months.
