Wimbledon Trip

At the start of July, TFA students were lucky enough to travel to London for a visit with the PE department. Mr Forrest shared some of the highlights and low points of the two-day trip…
  • All of the students being into Oasis and playing them on repeat all the way to Wimbledon.
  • The wall to wall sunshine throughout the trip and the fact that our students were very mature using sun cream and the free water throughout.
  • Watching world-class players on Court 2 including Marin Cilic and Venus Williams.
  • The girls making it back to the hotel in time to watch Love Island on the first night.
  • Getting a tour of the Chelsea FC stadium including a visit to the home changing rooms and the manager’s dugout.
Low points:
  • The 4am alarm call on Monday morning before the 5am meet at school to catch the coach.
  • The amount of sweets, chocolate and fast food eaten on a PE trip!
  • A special mention to Tommy Hill, whose mobile phone interrupted the silence of Court 2 at Wimbledon with his alarm going off to the tune of ‘Football’s Coming Home’…

Overall, a trip to remember where our students were a credit to us.
