The World Class Schools Quality Mark hosted their inaugural symposium at Elizabeth Garret Anderson School in London on Monday 9 July. Three students from The Farnley Academy were honoured to represent the school and support with the coordination of the event. Curtis and Erin took on the role of event photographers with Bailey as networking lead. Together with three students from The Morley Academy, the students enjoyed a range of workshops focussed on the importance of mental health and the role of creativity in schools. Key note speeches by Turner Prize Award Winning Artist Grayson Perry and CiC Chief Executive Kate Nolan gave food for thought and stirred personal reflection for students and staff alike. Ms Bradford (Assistant Principal), Mr Hollywood (Assistant Principal at The Morley Academy) and Mrs Griffiths (Executive Principal of The GORSE Academies Trust Secondary Academies) were incredibly proud of the mature approach and exceptional attitudes demonstrated by our World Class Students!
