As part of Year 11’s first Empowerment Day of this academic year, guest speaker Leeds and England international, Jamie Peacock delivered an insightful talk into his professional career as a rugby league player.
Jamie’s ability to lead and inspire other players has underpinned all of his professional success. ‘No White Flag’, which he delivered to Year 11, is his motivational talk about how to use skills such as leadership, goal setting, self belief, attitude and honesty has enabled him to overcome a lack of natural ‘sporting’ talent and become one of England’s best leaders and captains.
Jamie’s talk really resonated with our students and mirrored TFA’s core values of kindness, resilience and ambition. We are looking forward to welcoming more guest speakers and personalities in over the coming year to engage with our students on important and current issues.
