The year 11 cohort have now completed all their summer 2022 examinations. We are extremely proud of their efforts over the course of the year and feel very confident that our students will perform well against national data. Clearly, this cohort of students have faced challenges and the level of support we have provided has been un-parralled.
Level of support:
- Extension to the academy day- students completed 3 additional period 7 lessons with their core teachers to ensure any Covid-19 absence was recovered.
- Saturday and holiday tutoring occurred in all subject areas to support with meeting deadlines and examination revision.
- We used a 1-1 tutor for those that faced barriers in attending the academy.
- The Personalised Learning Centre supported a number of students in blended learning
- Small group tutoring occurred in form time for those students most in need of support in English and mathematics
As always, lessons and teaching within the academy has been exceptional and I would like to publicly thank our teachers and support staff for the level of engagement care and help they provided to this cohort of students.
The cohort are well placed for Post-16 study and we know that we have supported each individual to reach their potential and to allow them the gift of choice for their future.
We look forward to seeing them for one final time on Thursday 25 August to collect their examination results.
