We would all like to offer our congratulations to the Year 11 cohort of 2023 for a superb set of GCSE and Vocational qualifications. As a country Year 11 results returned to 2019, pre-pandemic levels, meaning the awarding of grades was harsher than 2022; despite this fact this group of students performed better than 2022 levels in many subjects.
78% of students achieved grade 4 or higher in English and mathematics, our second highest ever and achievement in all subjects was extremely strong. Initial indication suggestion this year group has exceeded any progress measure we have achieved before.
I would like to personally thank all parents and carers that supported their young people to be successful and for their support of the academy.
We wish them all the best for the future and will happily support them if they experience challenges in Post-16 study.
