We are looking forward to welcoming our new cohort of students joining us in September 2019! Plans are firmly underway for our July Intake Day during which students will experience the Academy and meet other students who will be in their new form group.
On the week commencing the 3 June 2019, all families with Year 6 students joining TFA in September will receive a welcome pack to their home address. This will contain vital letters regarding the Intake Day and Evenings, the Academy’s policies and consent forms which will need to be returned at our Intake Evening. This year, parents / carers will be allocated to attend one of our Intake Evenings on either the Monday 1 or Tuesday 2 July. It is important that parents / carers and their children attend their allocated evening and time, so that they have the opportunity to meet their child’s Form Tutor. Wynsor’s Shoes and Price & Buckland Uniform sales will be available to give further information regarding purchase of TFA uniform.
All students are invited to our Intake Day on Thursday 4 July from 8:45am – 2:30pm. On the Intake Day, students will spend the majority of their day with their newly assigned form group taking part in team building tasks and taster lessons. We are very excited to be able to offer a free school meal (hot or cold) to all students on this day. It is essential that if your child has any dietary requirements that you contact the Academy by Thursday 13 June to make us aware of this.
Additional Intake Days will also be taking place in June for selected students. We have used our partnerships with primary schools to help us to select these students. If your child has been selected for this, further information will be sent in their welcome pack.
