Wednesday 27th November saw the latest PE Engage Evening, which on this occasion was focussed on informing students, parents and carers in Year 8 about the new BTEC Sport Specification. Attendees worked with the full PE department, led by Mr Cleasby the Head of Department looking at the BTEC Sport curriculum as a whole, before focusing on individual units that are studied through Key Stage 4.
Students and their parents/carers analysed a variety of activities alongside gaining knowledge of the theory content that is based through the course. The evening was warmly received by our attendees, with one parent calling it “the best and most useful Engage Evening we have ever attended.”
