On Thursday 10th May, Year 8 completed their final Empowerment Day of the academic year. The day started with the Managing Director from Burberry delivering a session on employability and ambition. The ambitious discussions continued with a session on CIAG (Careers, Advice and Guidance) where students continued to discuss their potential career paths.  There were further sessions on money management and budgeting preparing students for ‘living in the wider world’ and developing an appreciation for the value of money! At the end of an incredibly positive day, where all students were engaged and mature, the students gathered again in the auditorium for a final session with a guest speaker who specialises in Citizenship delivering a session on the importance on democracy and parliament in the UK.
