Year 8 Options Evening: The start of a new adventure!

Together with their parents and carers, students in Year 8 attended the academy on Tuesday 26 February to start their KS4 Options process. The evening was a fantastic opportunity for curriculum teams to promote their subjects and for students and families to find out more about course content and how subjects are assessed. The Sports Hall was buzzing on the evening with Year 11 Drama students performing extracts from “Teachers”, BTEC Sport students demonstrating their table tennis skills and many other exciting and captivating activities promoting our wide breadth of subjects.
Mr Stokes lead two presentations in the Auditorium which focused on the choices available to students and the importance of the EBbacc group of qualifications as students consider their options in further study.
Students need to return their option selections no later than Tuesday 12 March to Form Tutors.
