Year 8 have had a brilliant start to the academic year, with many students embodying our core values of ambition, resilience and kindness. It is with great delight that I am able to shine a light on some of the year group’s successes this half term beyond our Outstanding judgement from Ofsted. Students have shown real resilience in their attendance this half term, with some days achieving over 97% attendance for the year group and attendance is amongst the highest attendance in school.
The ambition of students has been fantastic, with great sporting success this half term for the girls’ rugby and football teams. The students have participated in a wide range of academic topics this half term from pop art to plant life. Finally, our students have shown real kindness to their peers and teachers by demonstrating excellent behaviour.
Over 200 students have not received a single detention across the whole half term and 267 students were eligible for the Positive Discipline Rewards Trip to Alton Towers, Chester Zoo or the cinema. I hope you join me in being incredibly proud of our students and that they continue this momentum as the year progresses.
